The Eriosyce curvispina has several other common names such as Neochilenia jussieui, or Eriosyce heinrichiana. This species gets its name from the curved spines that adorn its greenish-gray stems. These spines are not only aesthetically pleasing but also serve as a defense mechanism against predators.

Care Instructions
Light: Requires bright, direct or very strong indirect sunlight to maintain red coloration and compact growth.
Water: Allow soil to dry completely between waterings. Water infrequently, especially during winter dormancy.
Humidity: Prefers dry air. Avoid misting or excess humidity.
Temperature: Thrives in 65–85°F (18–29°C). Protect from frost and do not expose to temperatures below 45°F (7°C).
