Authentic Japanese ‘Frumdosus’ cultivar, created by distinguished collector Mr. Hayakawa in Japan. Impressive, very wide, stubby, thick tubercles arching outwards. Hemispherical, large and broad body form, with distinct grey-blue tones and some light epidermal wrinkling, flowers white to pinkish-white.

Care Instructions
Light: Prefers bright, indirect sunlight. Can tolerate full sun but should be acclimated slowly to prevent scorching.
Water: Allow soil to dry thoroughly between waterings. Water sparingly, especially during dormancy. Overwatering is the most common cause of decline.
Humidity: Thrives in dry environments. Avoid high humidity and ensure excellent airflow around the plant.
Temperature: Ideal temperature range is 65–85°F (18–29°C). Protect from frost and do not expose to temperatures below 50°F (10°C).

💡 Pro Tip: Retusus grows slowly and prefers to be left undisturbed. Use a gritty, well-draining cactus mix and water only when the roots have fully dried. Be patient—this plant rewards those who wait.
